It has long been known that the Philippines is home to thousands of creative talents. Pinoy artists have made names around the world for their craft. We have excelled in architecture, visual arts and sculpture. And just recently, Pinoy animators have also penetrated the competitive world of animation. Pinoys were involved in Pixar hits such as Finding Nemo and Up! That’s why it did not come as a surprise when it was reported that 80% of production of TOEI (a major animation company based in Japan ) is being outsourced in the Philippines . This is more a confirmation of an already known fact. Hopefully, Pinoys could someday come up with a full-animation that would be seen by audiences worldwide and would gain for creative and financial success. Til then, we have to keep crossing our fingers.
