What to expect
Immerse yourself in Japanese pop and traditional culture.
- Learn to write your name in Katakana
- Learn how to wear the summer kimono, yukata
- Understand the inspiration for Japanese cosplay
- Appreciate the game design concepts for genki video games and the music that accompanies games ('genki' means energetic/lively, referring to Japanese-style action games).
It's for every member of the family and for every barkada.
P50 tickets. Raffle Bingo Cards at P100 each.

- Best female traditional/fantasy

Cash prizes:
- P1,000 + product giveaways for first prize per category
- P500 + product giveaways for second prize per category
Total of 6 prizes
Rules:
- No hentai or hentai-themes allowed
- Costume designs can be based on anime, manga, or video games; inspired by anime, manga, or video games; or original designs but should use elements of Japanese themes and/or design elements (judges will exercise leeway on the qualification criteria of contestants)
- All cosplayers who are registered at the entrance, has paid the entrance fee, and are at the judging area during the judging period (1 to 4pm) are qualified for the contest
- The judging area will be announced at 1pm at the Pavilion stage and registration area
- The contest is a 'Best In Costume' contest. Contestants are judged on creativity of design and materials, and on showmanship. Some contestants might be interviewed by the judges as part of the judging process.
- There will be three judges (two from Sega Japan and one from American Technologies, Inc.)
- Finalists (three per category) will be announced at 4:30pm. Each finalist will be given 5 minutes to perform on stage. - Winners and runners-up will be announced at 5pm. Prizes will be awarded on the spot.
