J-Pop Fest: The Grand Event will showcase a variety of fun Japanese pop-inspired attractions including dance contests, singing contests, fashion shows, live performances, cosplay, Japanese foods and kawaii goodies. The event will be organized by the same team who made the J-POP Fesival 'Kick-off Party!' possible, and this time in partnership with Megatrade and SM Megamall. This amazing event will start from 10:00 am and will last till 9:00 pm.
We are inviting all hardcore J-POP fans, Cosplayers, Exhibitors, Fan Clubs to come and enjoy the ultimate Japanese Popular Culture experience at J-POP FEST: THE GRAND EVENT!

J-ROCK ‘Band Battle Royale’ – Various bands will clash and make noise as they bring the Japanese rock music!

Pinoy Pop Idol Rules and Regulations
- This contest is open to all Filipino amateur singers off all ages who can sing their favorite J-POP or anime songs. Strictly no Japanese songs from K-POP artists.
- This contest is a solo category and offers 10 slots only.
- Grand contest is on March 11, 2012 (Sunday) at the J-POP FEST: ‘The Grand Event’.
- Each finalist will be given a minimum of three (3) minutes and a maximum of five (five) minutes stage time. PLEASE DO NOT EXCEED THE GIVEN TIME. Failure to comply will result in a DEDUCTION OF 5 POINTS in the overall score.
- Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and those that may harm the performance of other groups. Props such as, fireworks, fire, sharp objects and the like are prohibited.
- Participants from the other contests are not disqualified from joining Pinoy J-POP Idol.
- Criteria for judging are as follows:
Clarity and Pronunciation - 30 %
Stage Presence - 30 %
Voice Quality - 30 %
Audience Impact - 10 %
- Only 1 finalist will be hailed as the first Pinoy J-POP Idol and will be awarded with special gift and cash prize.
- The judges’ decision is final and cannot be appealed.
- The organizer reserved the right to change the mechanics if necessary.
